Come with us to the iconic spots where Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece The Godfather was filmed.
Our three-hour-long tour will take you to Savoca, a little village perched above Taormina with splendid vistas from seven viewpoints known as the "seven faces of Taormina".
In Savoca you can visit Bar Vitelli, where Michael Corleone asked for Apollonia's hand, and the church of San Nicolò, where they married. Bar Vitelli has really retained its historic charm; stepping into it feels like stepping into a lost world.
Don't miss the chance to sip a lemon granita under the pergola.
Castelmola is a small village perched above Taormina, with breathtaking views of the Sicilian and Calabrian coasts on the Ionian Sea.
Famed for its ancient history, which begins in the 8th century B.C. – as its splendid mosaics testify – as well as its almond wine, Castelmola is officially one of the "Most beautiful villages in Italy". Its most interesting sights are Piazza Centrale and Bar Turrisi. Discover the place with our special trips!
The Alcantara Gorges are formed from lava that has been eroded by the River Alcantara and taken on the shape of a canyon. You can do a range of activities in the Alcantara Geological Park (as long as you book in advance!).
Walk along the river under great grey rock walls and over the occasional little beach. Or, where the water rises and the current gets stronger here and there, you can enjoy water sports like canoeing and body rafting.
The cost of entering the park and doing these activities is not included in the journey price. Activities can be done in groups of max. 10 people.
Catania is an ancient port city on the slopes of Mount Etna. Destroyed and rebuilt no less than nine times, it still bears the traces of the Greek, Roman, Medieval and Baroque eras in every vista and little street. Its Baroque centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Of particular interest are A Piscaria (the fish market), the cathedral with the famous statue of U Liotru, symbol of Catania, in the square in front of it, the Odeon (Greek theatre), the Roman baths, the Benedictine monastery and Via Crociferi. Enjoy shopping on Via Etnea and stop for a granita, an arancino or some grilled meat with a lemon seltz. Our tour lasts five hours.
Discover the home town of the mathematician Archimedes, now a World Heritage Site. Founded by the Corinthians in 733 B.C., Syracuse offers splendid examples of Greek and Baroque architecture, in the yellow-gold stone from the Hyblean Moutnains that gives Syracuse its nickname of the "White City". Also wonderful is the island of Ortigia, with its little restaurants and shops frozen in time.
Other points of interest are the Fountain of Diana, Maniace Castle, Arethusa Spring, Greco-Roman theatre and Ear of Dionysius in the archaeological park. Our tour of Syracuse lasts eight hours and begins in the archaeological park, followed by Ortigia and the historic centre.
Guide included only on request. We recommend setting out in the morning, ideally at 8.30 a.m.
Discover the beauties of the Ionian coast with our special tours. Starting from the port at the Naxos Gardens, we will take you past the Blue Grotto, Baia delle Sirene (Bay of the Mermaids), Baia di Mazzaro' and Bella island.
You can refresh yourself with a dive in Taormina's crystal waters and a little aperitif. Day trips may be in mixed groups or private and can last from two to seven hours. Don't hesitate to contact us to find out more!
